THE SUPERBIO STORY

AMS was founded in 1998, but the start of the SuperBio ® story precedes it by nearly
4 decades. The company was formed, in part, on the basis of a license agreement
with Mr. Bob Pedigo, who has spent most of his life nurturing a personal vision – that
his SuperBio products would one day play a major role in transforming how we make
things grow. The secrets Bob learned as an attentive disciple of Jim Martin, an
“eccentric Texas inventor” (“The Old Man and the Secret”, Texas Monthly, June 1990),
stimulated a personal journey of exploration, experiment and discovery that Bob
continues to this day.

Bob’s work has been codified into trade secret manufacturing processes,
catalytic methods and blended formulations, licensed exclusively to AMS.
The result – a remarkable product technology that combines attractive
product attributes (shelf life, stability, ease of use) with extraordinarily consistent performance in a wide variety of soils, crops and growing
conditions.

The SuperBio Line of Products
All AMS products are manufactured starting with a “base stock” of SuperBio microbes.
The base stock is a remarkably complex community of microorganisms, fermented in
culture together and resulting in a rich, yet stable, finished material. The SuperBio stock
is highly diverse – both microbiologically (plate counts of colony-forming units) and in
its metabolic capacity (that is, the breadth of variety of food sources that the product
can effectively metabolize). It is the latter that makes SuperBio-based products unique
– and able to adapt to a wide variety of soil types and conditions. The metabolic capacity
also makes it an attractive base material for remediation purposes.

Each batch of SuperBio microbes is carefully scrutinized by food quality laboratories to
assure that it is free of known plant and animal pathogens. It can be readily mixed with
a variety of beneficial materials to form sophisticated blended products. And those
products, in turn, have been repeatedly demonstrated to provide distinct and valuable
benefits to growers.

Putting the Theory to the Test
In the conservative worlds of agriculture, turf and remediation, the skeptics rule. Knowing
that to be the case, AMS has actively sought out opportunities to put our products (and
our beliefs about them) to the test of scientific rigor.  In over 400 tests  - whether in
university or third-party research, in field applications or under the scrutiny of corporate agronomists - the SuperBio line of products has shown the consistency of value we
promote.  Here is a sampling of research work done to date.
